At mimi&lu we use quality materials and advanced techniques to increase the jewelry’s stability and longevity. However, handmade jewelry can be delicate, so a little extra care will go a long way to insuring you will be able to enjoy your new jewelry for years to come.

Store jewelry either lying down flat or hanging straight to prevent kinks and tangles. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight as it may fade some stones over time. Sterling silver and gold-fill metals can tarnish with age, so it's best to store your jewelry in an airtight container or baggie. Always remove jewelry before swimming and bathing.

To clean your jewelry we recommend Pro Polishing Pads (contact us for info) or any jewelry polishing cloth which do an amazing job in restoring the jewelry back to it’s original shine. Another option and for harder to reach spaces, such as the wires in between the stones on wire wrapped jewelry, just give a gentle scrub over the area with a soft toothbrush and sudsy water. We highly recommend not waiting to until the piece has already tarnished to clean, but instead maintaining the shine by cleaning on a regular basis.

   REPAIRS...

Breaks are sometimes unavoidable- your baby yanks your earring, or your dog’s paw catches your necklace (we are ALL too familiar).  We are happy to provide repairs. Please email us: Your name, the item in need of repair, the date of purchase and the reason for repair. You must receive a return authorization number before sending your item. We can give you an estimate of repair costs ahead of time but a more accurate estimate can be sent once the piece is assessed. Send securely packed in a padded envelope or box.  While it is up to your discretion, we suggest insuring your package. Customer is responsible for repair costs (if applicable) and all related shipping costs. Your piece will be repaired and shipped back to you as soon as payment is processed.
